Can I make something composed only of Stoor products?
Yes, this is permitted so long as what you create is an End Product. End Products must be significantly different than the original Item and require time, effort, and skill to produce. End Products must not be used or sold in a way that is directly competitive with the original Item you purchased. End Products must not redistribute the original Item to any third parties in a manner that allows for the extraction of the original Item.
So, for example, you may employ various methods and skills to create a significantly different design, including adding textures, using Lightroom presets, adding unique hand lettering or illustrations, adding graphics or patterns, using various Photoshop add-ons, adding text, adding additional photos, etc.
However, you are not permitted to purchase one font and one photo and use solely those unchanged Items in a wall art design. However, you can include that photo and the font in a greater project design, as long as the end result of that design is significantly different than the photo and font that you originally purchased.
Which license do I need to make something that earns money for a charity?
It depends on how many units you sell/how many units you distribute in exchange for donations. For our purposes, each unit that is distributed in exchange for a donation would be considered a “sale.” The Standard License covers up to 1 unit of the End Product sold, whereas the Extended License covers an unlimited amount of End Product sales. We don’t draw a distinction between end products sold by retailers or companies as opposed to charities.
If my client will sell end products which license will they need?
If you use an Item purchased at Stoor to create an End Product that you and/or your client will be selling to more than a single person, the End Product is considered an End Product for Sale. If 1 unit of the End Product will be sold by you and/or your client, you will be covered under the Standard License. If over 1 unit of the End Product will be sold by you and/or your client, you will need to purchase as many Standard Licenses as you aim to sell.
May I trademark an end product I create using an Item purchased at Stoor?No, you may not register as a trademark a purchased Item or an End Product incorporating that Item. Stoor cannot provide legal advice to users. However, this EU Trade Mark website may provide some clarification
